Quality should be visible, not just promised.

This page lists every licence and registration we hold. A number appears here only once we have verified it against the certificate; anything still pending carries a “To verify” chip.

Every batch

What we test, and when.

Spices are agricultural products; the job is to keep out what should not be there.

The whole of this section is [VERIFY]. To verify

It sets out the quality regime a spice packer of this kind is expected to run. We have not yet seen intake records, process logs or laboratory certificates for Devika Overseas, so none of it is published as a statement of current practice. Each card becomes a claim only once the corresponding record is on file.

Raw material intake

Visual and sensory check, moisture, foreign matter and admixture on every lot received. Supplier lot number recorded against the intake number. To verify

Process controls

Cleaning, destoning and low-temperature grinding with metal detection before packing. Grind size checked against the product standard. To verify

Finished-pack testing

Microbial, aflatoxin and pesticide-residue testing through NABL-accredited laboratories at the frequency FSSAI requires for the category. Certificates retained per batch. Lab & frequency to verify

Recall & traceability

Every pack traces back to a lot.

Not yet true of the current packs. Traceability depends on a batch code printed on the pack, and the artwork reserves no batch or lot line — see PACK_ARTWORK_ISSUES.md. Until that is corrected, a pack cannot be traced to a production record from anything on the carton, and a recall would have to work from dispatch records alone.

Once a batch line is added, the code will link to the raw-material lots, the grinding run, the packing date and the certificates for that batch. To verify

  • Batch code and packing date printed on every pack Not yet — artwork change needed
  • Production records retained for 12 months beyond best-before To verify
  • Written recall procedure with distributor contact list To verify
  • Complaints logged against batch and reviewed monthly To verify
